What the community is saying
I strongly support keeping the dog beach in our community. It’s been a wonderful addition for years, providing a space for dogs and their owners to enjoy. While I understand there may be concerns about rule enforcement, eliminating the dog beach entirely would leave us without a suitable alternative. This beach has been a part of our community for a long time, even before it was official, and I believe it enhances our community. I know people who love to stop and watch the pups having a great time in the water. Let’s find a way to address concerns without taking away this valuable resource.

🐶 Noah and Cody
Betty is a 2 year old dog who lives for other dogs. When she goes to the dog beach she loves to watch all the other dogs. We bring her toys to fetch, but she’s like the greeters at Walmart welcoming all the other dogs. We do keep Betty on a lead because she’s young and we don’t trust her recall and two, not all of the other dogs want Betty Lou in their face. The beach has built her confidence, taught her that water isn’t scary, and it gives her a chance to learn about socializing with other dogs. It’s such a unique opportunity for her, and luckily it’s only 3 blocks away. We love our weekly visits to our dog beach.

Xochi entertain people leaping out of water like a gazzel looking for fish, her favorite think to do. We literally have to pick her up Out of water otherwise she won’t quit. It is a great way for us as seniors to get out and wade with her in the water, and meet other dog people. Afar we enjoy walking to town for lunch or Gelato, Please save the dog beach for dogs and people to enjoy!!!!!!

Why
Why do we want our dog beach
Our dog beach is a gem for wagging tails and happy humans—it shouldn’t get buried just because a few loud humans won’t stop barking!
Community
Our beach is where our humans get to meet other humans while we sniff, splash, and play. They call it 'community,' but really, it’s just making friends like we do!
Exercise
Humans need to stretch their legs too, not just us! The beach gets them running, throwing sticks, and staying active while we lead the way.
Safety
It’s better for humans when we have our own splashy spot—they don’t have to worry about us getting tangled up with swimmers at those other beaches.
Mental Health
Humans feel better when they’re around us—science says so! A day at the beach with us? Stress gone, smiles on!
Local Economy
Our beach helps the human world, too. After a fun day with us, they wander into town for food or shopping. They call it ‘supporting local’—we just call it snack time!
Joy
Nothing makes humans happier than seeing us having fun. You should see their faces when we’re splashing and wagging—it’s like they catch our happiness!

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Why Did We Build This Site?
Because some humans just won’t stop barking about closing our beach! We’re tired of their loud howls wasting the City Council’s time when most of the community loves this place. Let’s help our humans focus on more useful stuff at their meetings—like more treats and belly rubs!
Who Is My Human?
My human has lived in White Bear Lake for over three years and walks by our beach at least four times a week. They see how much joy it brings to all of us fur-friends and want to keep it that way!
